			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Warsaw, a country known for its pierogi (dumplings with various fillings), vodka and penchant for veal provided the backdrop for our  two day sessions filming some of Europe&#8217;s leading prostate cancer opinion leaders for an industry supported <a href="http://stwem.com/2013/05/08/phoam-is-the-concept-phoamed-is-the-hashtag-introducing-pharma-open-access-meducation/" target="_blank">open access medical education programme</a> (check out #PHOAM and <a href="https://twitter.com/phoamed">#PHOAMed</a> on twitter to find out more).</p>
<p>The Brandcast Health team headed to Poland, having convened an eminent faculty of Europe&#8217;s leading prostate cancer opinion leaders, to film a lively debate themed  &#8217;current treatment practices in prostate cancer care&#8217;. The backdrops were popped up, phones were switched off and the cameras rolled, to capture their expert opinion about best practices to treatment, following a day of collaborative discussion with others in this field during the day.</p>
<p>The filmed debate will be edited and once peer reviewed, published on Europe&#8217;s leading oncology channel - <a href="http://ecancer.org/video/index.php" target="_blank">ecancer.tv</a> - an independent, open access publication and education platform, where cancer professionals can access the medical education programme.</p>

Now that social media channels have become valuable customer feedback forums, brands must be responsive to this, using the feedback to their advantage and proving that they value the opinions of their customers. <p>Brands such as Old Spice have also turned to video as part of their Agile marketing strategies. In this great campaign, Old Spice rapidly created almost 200 videos based around questions it had been asked through social media channels.</p>

<p>Bodyform also harnessed the power of social media marketing by creating a funny video is response to a comment they received on Facebook. The video not only showed that they listen to customer feedback, but also portrayed Bodyform in a more human manner, making the brand seem more approachable. By using humour, Bodyform also created a highly shareable video that quickly went viral and now has over 3 million hits!</p>

<p>This sort of experimental ultra-fast marketing certainly involves risk and can sometimes be very financially costly. SCRUK is a unique standalone trial facility that collaborates and works closely with clinical investigators to develop new and innovative cancer therapies for patients. Their updated website needed to be clean, easy to navigate with an integrated clinical trials finder.</p>
<p>The Brandcast creative team came up with a design that was clear, simple and easy to navigate with a sleek finish. After the photo-shoot on-site at the clinic, the results changed the entire look and feel of the site &#8211; it became personalised while still maintaining a professional and clean finish.</p>
<p>The site has now launched and the feedback has been very positive with users commending the layout and style, the simplicity of the navigation and the relevant and up to date content. As smartphone penetration breaches 60% in the UK, we wanted to improve the mobile &amp; tablets user experience for people coming to the HCA website. The result is a slick, easy to navigate, quick to load site that improves the user journey with the simple Click to Call functionality.</p>
<p>The content for both the main website and the mobile version is maintained from the same place within our bespoke Central Management System, which is a great advantage for maintaining continuity between the two versions of the site. The other advantage of the mobile site is its cross platform compatibility – the application works across iPhones, Blackberries and Android phones.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A two day shoot took place at <a href="http://www.theportlandhospital.com/">The Portland Hospital</a>, which is renowned for its dedication to women and children’s services. Filming a variety of interviews with top consultants in their field, we were treated to an insight into the team work cross the hospital as consultants collaborate together, using new technologies, to provide quality patient care. Alongside learning why consultants enjoyed their work at The Portland, we were also introduced to children undergoing treatment, filmed the low dose CT Scanner configurable to paediatrics and got to see the enjoyment the new playroom brings to patients.</p>
<p>Filming 13 interviews, a CT scan and patient consultations across three sites over two days, was an exhilarating mid-week buzz for Brandcast Health, who relished the challenge.</p>

<p>ORLANDO, FLORIDA—Patients with low-risk prostate cancer are more likely to die with their disease than of it, according to Dr Ayal Aizer from the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard University in Boston MA — a merit-award winner at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) and the Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO) 2013 Genitourinary Cancers Symposium. Treatment with surgery or radiotherapy, he noted, adds toxicity with the potential to do harm without bringing any additional mortality benefit, for the majority of these patients.</p>

<p>ORLANDO, FLORIDA—A decision to delay surgery or radiotherapy for early prostate cancer is in the best interests of most patients according to research presented to the 2013 Genitourinary Cancers Symposium by Dr Andrew Loblaw from the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto. His group’s research has found that the rate of “migration” of Gleason grade — representing disease progression — was gradual: accounting for no more than a third of patients developing a form of the disease requiring treatment within ten years. The remaining patients can be spared the side effects of treatment.</p>

<p>ORLANDO, FLORIDA—Patients receiving radiotherapy for high-risk node-negative prostate cancer benefit as much from 18 months of androgen blockade as from the usual 36 months but have fewer side effects — according to study findings announced at the 2013 ASCO Genitourinary Cancers Symposium in Orlando by Dr Abdenour Nabid from Sherbrooke University in Quebec.</p>
