For this reason, the delivery of consistent and relevant online content is a key part of any communications campaign. At Brandcast Health, we have the perfect skill set to support our clients in achieving their business goals through digital strategy and production.

We are looking for a talented and experienced Medical Editor to join our Editorial team.

You will be working alongside an experienced team at the cutting edge of relevant scientific communications designed for online healthcare professional and patient communities. We believe that amazing content translates across all channels, so this role holds an important position within our agency.

  • Edit a wide range of materials (including educational and promotional pieces), across various therapeutic areas and formats, to the agreed style and specifications with minimum supervision
  • Work with Medical Writers and other members of the team to improve the accuracy, clarity, readability, and functionality of the materials produced, and adhere to agency and industry guidelines
  • Ensure accurate referencing and carry out data checks
  • Upload and reference link documents on Veeva PromoMats using reference packs
  • Collaborate with project and account managers to provide time estimates for budgets and timelines
  • Develop and implement style guides and QC processes
  • Manage your own workload, collaborating with project managers to support an even distribution of workload across each week
  • Train other members of the team on QC processes
  • At least 1 year of experience working as an editor in a medical communications agency or related role
  • Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail
  • Experience of editing for scientific integrity as well as flow, syntax, grammar and spelling
  • Ability to understand detailed medical and scientific information in various therapeutic areas
  • Working knowledge of industry guidelines (i.e. ABPI; GPP)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience in the development and implementation of style guides and QC processes
  • Experience using Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Suite
  • Life science degree (BSc or MSc)
  • Experience in editing digital assets, such as websites, apps, videos, etc.
  • Experience in editing promotional and medical educational materials
  • Experience in copy editing to improve the flow, clarity, and story for the intended audience
  • Familiarity with time required to provide accurate time estimates for jobs
  • Understanding of key principles of enhancing user experience through content and design (e.g. readability; colour contrasts)
