Part of the HCA Group (largest private operator of health care facilities in the world) and internationally renowned for clinical excellence, the Portland Hospital is the only private hospital in London entirely dedicated to women and children.
To reflect on the unique positioning of the Portland Hospital, we designed and built a website aimed at both patients and healthcare professionals with enhanced usability, packed with rich media and interactive features such as video clips and interviews from top healthcare consultants and professionals – all supported by a bespoke Content Management System.
For healthcare professionals the site contains a professional password-protected extranet where they can engage with each other and the hospital, accessing all accredited documentation specific to consultants speciality area such as CME modules and discussion forums
For patients we created a Web Babies section, a dedicated area for parents to post photos of their new born babies and share with loved ones. We added a Pregnancy calendar so pregnant mums can read useful information relevant to the time of their pregnancy as well as find out what to expect in the coming months. We also developed iSprog, utilising enhanced 4D baby scans that can be shared with family and friends via a mobile application.
And to maximise audience outreach, we undertook content syndication and online marketing activity: production of engaging advertising content, display advertising on relevant websites sections and patients’ forums, PPC campaign for paediatric service (Google, Yahoo and MSN) as well as SEO.
